The Embody Love Movement is a nonprofit program developed by Dr. Melody Moore, clinical psychologist. After spending seven years in private practice specializing in Eating Disorder recovery, Dr. Moore chose to combine the healing tools of yoga, embodied experience, and psycho-dynamic therapy to create a program that would allow others to know that they are valuable and worthy.
The Embody Love Workshop helped me to turn my negative thoughts in to more loving compassionate ones and put me on the path to a realization that my worth is not determined by my outward appearance. I loved the workshop so much; I became a facilitator. I hope to share with others the wonderful experience that I had! - Kate
EMBODY LOVE WORKSHOP is a 2-3 hour transformational work- shop for women ages 19 and up that takes participants on a journey toward self-acceptance. The goal is for women to set new intentions about how they feel, think, and speak to themselves and others. Participants are offered the opportunity to engage in process exercises in which they explore their internalized beliefs about beauty and self-worth and are given the tools to understand that these negative beliefs have a detrimental impact on their viewing themselves as purposeful and worthy.
• Dismantling the “beauty myth”
